REGULATIONS
OF THE 2006 JUNIOR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
IN GRECO-ROMAN, FREESTYLE AND WOMEN WRESTLING
I. GENERAL
1./
The International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA) has entrusted the Hungarian Wrestling Federation
with organizing the 2006 Junior European Championships in Greco-Roman, Freestyle
and Women Wrestling
2./
The competition will be held according to the FILA Rules of Wrestling and all other
Regulations of FILA
3./
The 2006 Junior European Championships in Greco-Roman, Freestyle and Women
Wrestling will be prepared by the Organizing Committee set up within the Hungarian Wrestling Federation.

III. PARTICIPATION
1./
Participation at the 2006 Junior European Championships in Greco-Roman, Freestyle
and Women Wrestling is open to all national wrestling federations affiliated
with FILA, provided that they have fulfilled their financial and information obligations toward FILA according to the FILA
Statutes and Regulations and towards the Organizing Committee as per these Regulations for the duration of the Championships.

Each national federation has the right to participate with a maximum of one (1) wrestler per category in all three
styles.
3./
All competitors must be of junior age, 18-20 years born 1986-1988. The age will be
verified with the wrestlers’ individual
passports. The age of participants is determined
according to FILA Regulations. Wrestlers
born 1989 must present a medical certificate
justifying the reason for wrestling
in a higher age group and parental authorization.
Wrestlers are under the entire responsibility
of their National Federations.

All wrestlers must be in possession of a valid licence card purchased beforehand from FILA

The structure of the official delegation per style laid down by FILA is as follows:

Referees are included among the official persons.
The number of official persons will be established after the preliminary entries creating the base of payment of accreditation
fees.

Entries on the official entry forms are to be sent by e-mail or fax as follows both to the
FILA and the Organising Committee (see the following
address) or directly on the FILA website:

- Entries by name and weight
till June 4, 2006
The personal
data, a photo and wrestling curriculum of each wrestler entered
must
also be attached

All final entries are to be made six (6) hours
before first weigh-in of the respective style to the competition secretariat provided that preliminary and name-by-name entries
were duly submitted. Failing to do so wrestlers are not authorized to take part in the Championships

The above conditions must be respected by National Federations wishing to attend the Championships in order for accomodation
to be booked according to our Regulations.
8./
Only category I referees may officiate at the Championships. Referees must present their valid licence stamp for the
year 2006.
They must also be in possession of the written authorization of their National Federation to work at the Championships.
Referees are obliged to wear the official uniform.
IV. TECHNICAL
CONDITIONS
1./
The competition will be held according to the FILA Rules of Wrestling.
2./
The competitions will be conducted in the following weight categories:
MEN:
50, 55, 60, 66, 74, 84, 96, 120 kgs
WOMEN: 44, 48, 51, 55, 59, 63, 67, 72 kgs
3./
3 (three) FILA approved mats will be used for the competitions.
4./
Each wrestler has to pass a medical examination in his own country at least three days
before leaving his country for the competition in
Hungary. The results of this examination
should be recorded in the wrestler’s licence book.
5./
Each wrestler will undergo a medical examination one (1) hour before weigh-in.
6./
At weigh-in all women wrestlers have to produce a certificate of their gender. This certificate kept inside the woman
wrestler’s licence book must be signed by the doctor of the National Federation and has a permanent validity.
If a woman wrestler does not present this certificate she will be disqualified from the competition.
7./
The organizing committee assures the first aid during the competition. The annual licence issued by FILA covers the
hospital cost for the participating wrestler in case of accident. If an insured person wishes to undergo a medical examination
or treatment which is not the consequence of an accident during the Championships, the cost of such examination or treatment
must be borne by the person concerned or by his/her National Federation. The reimbursement of these expenses can under no
circumstances be claimed from the insurance company.
V. MEDALS
AND TROPHIES
1./
The organizing committee will give individual prizes for each weight category as follows:
1st place
gold medal, certificate
2nd place
silver medal, certificate
3rd placed wrestlers
bronze medals, certificates
5th-10th places
certificates
2./
Each participant shall receive diploma
3./
The first three teams in each style receive a special cup.
VI. OFFICIAL CEREMONIES
1./
Each participating team must be present at the opening ceremony of the Championship according to the organizing committee’s
instructions.
2./
The national flags of the countries whose wrestlers and teams obtained 1st - 3rd
place will be hoisted once the medals have been awarded.
3./
The national anthem will be played for each individual and team champion.
4./
Teams are requested to bring their national flag (100 x 150 cm)
and anthem on CD or
cassette which are to be handed over
to organizers at accreditation. Should these items
be available for the Organizing Committee
in advance it is the team leader’s duty to
check them.
VII. TRANSPORTATION
1./
Free transportation is provided from Szombathely Railway Station and further between accomodation sites and the competition
venue.
Transportation will be available from Vienna Airport
and Budapest Airport and Budapest Railway Stations to Szombathely for USD 30,- or EUR 25,- per person for one way.
VIII. ACCOMODATION

2./ Accommodation
for all the competitors is provided in twin rooms with full sanitation provisions.
3./
Meals corresponding to a calorific value of the FILA Rules (5.000 cal/day) will be served to those accredited in the
hotels where they are staying.
4./
The organizing committee assumes no responsibility for people who are not on the list of entries by name nor for people
entered over and above the number allowed for in the Regulations unless this is agreed beforehand.
IX. FINANCIAL
CONDITIONS
1./
Heads of delegations and individual participants shall pay the participation costs to
the Organizing Committee upon arrival before accreditation.

2./
No accreditation shall take place without the participation and accreditation costs
being paid.
3./
All participants and accompanying persons are required to pay the Organizing Committee CHF 130,-/day/person including
accomodation, meals and local transportation. The applicable period is the official duration of the Championships plus 2 (two)
days before and 1 (one) day after it (July 4–9).
The minimum length of accreditation
is 4 (four) nights (4 x CHF 130,-).
4./ Delegations with more members
than allowed in article III.5. of these Regulations as well as delegations (persons) staying more than eight (8) days must
pay 160,- CHF/day/person or the equivalent amount in EUR or USD
5./
The numbers included in the final accreditation list constitute the base for the payment of accreditation fee.
6./
Delegation leaders will be responsible for any damage incurred by members of their delegation during their stay.
X. JOURNALISTS - TELEVISION – VIDEO RECORDINGS
- INTERNET
1./ The Organizing Committee
sends press accreditation forms to each national
federation.
2./
Journalists are responsible for their own accommodation and board.
3./
A Press centre comprising all the necessary equipment will be made available to journalists the day before and one
day after the Championship (exact opening hours available on the ECh website).
4./
Nations wishing to make video camera recording of the Championships must apply for FILA approval one month before the
event. The use of such cameras may be permitted by FILA against payment. All approved non-professional cameras shall receive
a distinctive camera sticker from the Organizing Committee which is to be clearly and
obligatorily put on the camera.
5./
Video recordings for educational purposes can be approved upon preliminary agreement with FILA and organizers. No camera
can be used without the conditions
above. For the duration of the event approved non-professional cameras shall receive a distinctive camera sticker from
the Organizing Committee which is to be clearly and obligatorily put on the camera.
6./

XI. MISCELLANEOUS
1./
Countries in need of visa to enter Hungary must contact the embassy
or consulate of Hungary in their country
of residence. If asked by the embassy concerned the Hungarian Wrestling Federation will send individual invitations to the
participants.
2./
In case of an eventual visa obligation early arrangements are recommended.
